JAMI SIEBER and STEVE GORN
The magical meeting of electric cello, vocals and bansuri flute.

 www.jamisieber.com
Jami Sieber reaches inside the soul with lush compositions that are timeless, and powerfully evocative. A pioneer of both the acoustic and electric cello, her style of playing is recognized internationally. Employing electronics and looping techniques she creates sounds never associated with the cello. Her music goes from the deepest stillness to ecstatic pulsing rhythms and melodies. Jami will be performing with Steve Gorn, virtuoso bansuri flute player. Gorn is creating a new idiom, a music that combines the essence of classical Indian tradition with a contemporary world music sensibility. The strength of this music infuses great mastery with a haunting, lyrical sweetness to bring the healing breath of the sacred to our demanding contemporary lives. This collaborative performance is not to be missed!

5 ALONE
From the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts School

The name 5-Alone comes from the five part close harmony jazz arrangements that they sing: five singers, each singing alone on a part. These days it’s become a running joke in the group that rarely are there five people on stage! Still, the majority of their songs are five part harmony.
